2015 Season - June 12 – Oct 12
Park Info: Situated on a large lake not far from the Musquodoboit Valley, the park is the perfect escape. The quiet woodland setting offers a wide range of outdoor opportunities, including camping, boating, canoeing, water-skiing, and fishing. A beautiful sandy beach at the north end of the lake offers fresh water swimming.
Facilities and Services
The park has 119 woodland campsites, a picnic area, boat launch, and trailer dump station. The main beach is supervised during the peak season. The smaller "campers" beach is unsupervised.
Although there are no electrical hookups, water and vault toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground. Accessible flush toilets and showers facilities are also available.
Camping reservations can be made beginning April 2, 2015. See Reservations for details and conditions.
Canoe Kayak Nova Scotia is offering an opportunity for the whole family to paddle canoes and receive some basic instruction as required. Those who have paddling skills may go for a paddle in the quiet cove. All the paddling is closely supervised in a designated area. Volunteers will be there on the day to assist and personal flotation devices will be on loan from the Red Cross. Canoes and safety gear provided will also be made available, however, it is first come, first served. Dress for weather conditions and bring footwear that can get wet. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Meet at the boat launch. Please note that you will be required to sign a waiver.
